Cincinnati Yoga Tours: energi total wellness studio

This December, a new yoga studio opened in an up-and-coming part of town. Right on the popular Fairfield Avenue, energi is offering pilates, circuit, and (of course) yoga classes.

With that being said, when I got in contact with energi and was offered an audition to teach a few of their yoga classes, I was hesitant. There are so many yoga and fitness studios out there that it can be almost overwhelming trying to find a place to connect with. But once I walked through the door, I realized it wasn’t just any new yoga studio. This place had been carved out and restored with care.

energi offers a rustic-meets-chic aesthetic that offers little distraction from instruction. You’ll walk in through the front door (pictured aboved), set your stuff in one of the cubbies, and get moving. The high, dark ceilings make the room feel spacious and inviting. And, obviously, the exposed brick is very on trend. energi makes itself visually appealing without being too showy or in your face about it.

As a coffee junkie, I was quick to notice a Keurig in the back room. There is something so home-y and cozy about a studio with a coffee maker or a teapot. It definitely makes a difference as a student and a teacher when you have something available to sip on.

One of the most gorgeous parts of the studio takes place outside. There are twinkle lights over trees and bushes in their back patio area. I’m already imagining grabbing a cup of coffee and catching up with friends after class. It’s the sort of place where you might bring your mala beads and sit for a silent meditation. Again, the decoration is just enough to feel inspiring without feeling awkward or forced.

The photos above show how close the practice area is to the street. Initially, I assumed this would be an issue. While you can definitely hear the cars passing by on the streets (and, of course, the occasional ambulance), it isn’t as much as a distraction as I thought it would be. Despite the historic building, the space retained a lot of heat – super impressive for the *massive* windows in the front of the room.

If you’re interested in sharing some energy with energi, you can sign up for a monthly subscription. Unlimited monthly yoga for $85, unlimited monthly pilates for $75, and unlimited monthly circuit classes for $100. Want to take any class you want? Grab the unlimited monthly classes subscription for $175 – or try the 10 class pass for $100. Bring your own mat, or borrow mats and props directly from the studio.
